Alejandro Sánchez

Research

Alejandro's research interests include a variety of areas such as software design, development methodologies, interoperability, semantic web, enterprise architectures and e-government.

Current Research Interests

He is currently working on a semantic framework and a calculus to describe, transform and reason about architectural patterns. The framework and calculus are based on the so-called Minho approach to component calculus. The work aims to address the needs emerging from the success of service orientation: architectures supporting dynamic reconfiguration and self-adaptation.

Past Research Interests

In the past, Alejandro worked on semantic interoperability for Electronic Government. At the technical level, he used semantic web technologies as basis for building semantic interoperability middleware suited to Electronic Government communication needs. At the organizational level, he investigated enterprise architectures for managing semantic assets and infrastructure.
